Bio.

Fabio is an award-winning visual media composer known for his drive, dedication to his craft, attention to detail, and continuing pursuit of innovative compositional approaches. His compositional style blends traditional orchestra with modern production techniques in search of new sound palettes for screen composition and musical storytelling.

Fabio has won multiple awards for his compositions, including the Edmonton POPS! Orchestra Composer Competition, Ombra di Musica Composer Competition, and an Honourable mention in The Winnipeg Symphonic Orchestra Emerging Composer Competition. During his studies, he participated in scoring the Educational videogame "Life on the Edge." With numerous projects and educational opportunities ahead, he hopes to foster and create a lasting career as a professional film composer; based on lasting and meaningful relationships with film directors, visual artists, and other collaborators and peers.

He was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. He developed an unrelenting passion for music during his teenage years, learning how to play the guitar and acquiring a fondness for classical music and film scores. He went on to study and graduate Cum Laude from Bachelor of Industrial Engineering in Universidad Militar Nueva Granada. After that, he decided to pursue his dream to become a film composer and moved to Edmonton, Canada, where he recently received his Bachelor of Jazz and Contemporary Popular Music and a Music Composition Diploma at Grant MacEwan University.
